Kanildúfur is the collaboration between Sjón and Baldur J. Baldursson. It is a haunting and ambient experience set to the vision of Sjón's poetry.

Sjón is intrinsically woven into the music history of Iceland, having been a friend and inspiration to the Sugarcubes.
He is also responsible for continued work with Björk, and has contributed and written lyrics with Björk over the (y)ears.
The poet Sjón is well known for his work. Ever since his first book at the tender age of 15, has he commanded a lead within the literature world of Iceland.He was a member of Medúsa, the surealist group, along with Thor Eldon, Einar Melax, ólafur Engilbertsson, Jóhamar and Matthías Magnússon. Medúsa was active nearly twenty years ago in Reykjavík.
Sjón has written 11 poetry books, 3 novels and 3 plays.
His latest poetry book is 'Myrkar Fígúrur', which has won praise and rave reviews. The book is also the backbone to the BadTaste/OZ CD 'Kanildúfur'.
Sjón´s collaborator is Baldur J. Baldursson. He is somewhat the man behind the curtain. In this case the person behind the noises.Baldur is the chief of OZ.com AudioStudios.
