So the time had come to enter the Ahoy Stadium in Rotterdam for the MTV Awards. The Fly on the Wall was going to see how it all was done. Upon entering not so inviting sign posts greeted Meester Fly,and his response was to hide deeply in his pockets both the cameras. They were small cameras.He didn't dare to challenge the obvious message which was hanging all around. Mr. Fly was a law abiding citizen that was for sure.
Backstage upon inspection was not so glamorous as he had expected, sure there were glamorous people there, but the dustbin looked very similar to anywhere in the world, as did the food on offer.
Except for the attacking pool ball, who obviously had discovered the plot of hidden cameras.
Meester Fly was astounded when he got into the auditorium as it was something else. Something like you only see on MTV or something. Silly, this was the MTV Awards. And there was U2 kicking off the show the only way they can do.
Björk came third on with the Icelandic String Octet and Richard Brown. She entered graciously through the shape of an octopus. As seen on MTV.
After the show Meester Fly went backstage only to find that he was not supposed to touch the flowers. Which came as a total surprise to both chanteuse Björk and sound engineer Kevin Pruce.
Despite all the do and don'ts the Icelandic Octet and Björk seemed happy with the situation. And even plotted some mischievous activities.
