The Grapewire, 9th April 1998

D.J Björk at Radio1 on the eve of April's Fools.
A small DJ session is on the cards. One hour at the BBC Radio 1. It's called the Breezeblock, a programme with guest DJ's.
But boy! what a fishtank! The studio not Björk of course. In Meester Fly's opinion it must do the job as the music could be heard. Located in a cellar in centre of London.
And what was on offer? You heard Nico, Oval, Sähko, Aphex Twin, Black Dog, Michael Jackson, Meredith Monk, Arvo Pärt and finishing off with Public Enemy.
Some bemused listeners called in a really didn't know what was happening due to the variety in music.
As for Meester Fly, well he had a near out-of-body-experience, while listening very intensely to the music played. He was last seen being carried out sleeping by his chauffeur. Which is exactly the same which happened to him when he attended a night out in March at Kaffi Thomsen in Reykjavik. More on that later.
